PV Cement |
PV Cement
is a high
performance cement technology for treating waste streams
containing high levels of soluble metals. It is formulated
with a specific alkali source, an alumosilicate and reactive
sulfate component combined in a product that has a high surface
area and long term durability.
Used in the Environmental Industry for treatment of
waste containing soluble metals, PV Cement is one of
the most a versatile and widely used reagent system used in
California. This is significant because of California's
STLC testing protocol that is far more aggressive than Federal
TCLP protocol. PV Cement also has a specific final pH
indicator that allows the user to verify proper dosage in the
field. This indicator raises the level of success and minimizes
the need for retreating. Applications for PV Cement include
treating incinerator ash, metal recycling residue, contaminated
soils, oil field waste and plating waste. In most cases
due to the stability on the end product, waste treated with PV
Cement can be used as daily cover at landfills or engineered
fill.
